#BISONHACKS Howard University School of Business Hackathon presents...... [Bison Hacks] BOOTCAMP SERIES: Front-End 101 As a way to prepare for the event, we will be providing several installments that will help cultivate the skills needed to have an amazing experience at our hackathon on March 30-31, 2018 at Mapbox. Our final workshop will be dedicated on learning about the client-side or interface component of a web application.  Through this segment, we will cover the basics of HTML, CSS, Javascript as well as learn about the developer environment. Our speaker will be Zuri Hunter.  While studying Computer Information Systems at the illustrious Howard University, Zuri spent about 2 years teaching herself Ruby on Rails using it at Hackathons to expand her knowledge and experience. After her 5th hackathon, Zuri was presented with her first introduction in the tech industry with an opportunity at Human Geo.  Outside of building amazing applications, she volunteers heavily with Women Who Code as a Ruby on Rails Lead and Black Girls Code as Technical Lead. For fun, she loves playing video games, billiards and watching American Football. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS EVENT YOU MUST BE A HOWARD UNIVERSITY UNDERGRADUATE OR GRADUATE STUDENT.
