Build with us! We invite you to join us for an exciting evening of product development as we host our Black Tech Mecca Jumpstart Hackathon. The goal is to further develop our BTM Ecosystem Network a dynamic online community platform that will strengthen connections within the black tech community by re-imagining the way interactions takes place.

The first of its kind here in Chicago, the Ecosystem Network will also function as a vital technology tool to help transform Chicago into the “Global Black Tech Mecca.” Join the movement by assisting in strategizing, igniting, and building a world class virtual ecosystem directory.

ECOSYSTEM NETWORK VISION AND HACKATHON GOALS

In just  three days, members of the Chicago community will come together to  begin building a platform that will play a key role in transforming the city into the “Global Black Tech Mecca.” This collaboration excites us because from it, will come a plethora of ideas that will reimagine the way members of the Chicago black tech ecosystem engage with one another.

Our vision for this platform is to:

    • Enable individuals in the black tech ecosystem to achieve success via meaningful connections with each other.

    • Provide vital metrics on activities and determine the health of the black tech ecosystem.

    • Eventually expand to communities outside of Chicago to activate widespread collaboration.

That said, the goals of the Hackathon are:

    • To crowdsource creative ideas  from the community to achieve product vision and produce value for users.

    • Build relationships with developers and others to peak interest in continued participation at Chi-Hack Night.

    • Procure dedicated community talent and support to proceed toward beta testing.
