Blockchain University is hosting a 2-day blockchain hackathon in San Francisco over Halloween weekend (anniversary of Satoshi's design paper on btc solving double spend). Participants will be challenged to create meaningful solutions to tackle financial and non-financial business problems using blockchain technology. With a focus on cultivating blockchain talent and producing quality outcomes, Blockchain University along with key partners, will be providing mentorship and technical workshops throughout the hackathon.
Day 1, Oct. 31st, 10am-10pm: Begin hacking
- Blockchain University instructors, evangelists and industry experts will be around to mentor and answer questions
Day 2, Nov. 1st, 10am-4pm: Hacking Ends + Judging + Winners
- Hacking, Demos, Evaluation & Crowned Winners
- Winning teams will be given the opportunity to present at Blockchain Summit 2015 (Dec. 7)!
- First Place Prize: $1,000 or 4 BTCs + 4 free admissions to a Blockchain University class for presenting team. First prize will go to a team who builds their project during the hackathon.
- Second Place Prize: $750 or 3 BTCs + 3 free admissions to a Blockchain University class for presenting team. Second prize may go to a team who started their project at Blockchain University Cohort #4 or #5.
- Third Place Prize: $250 or 1 BTC + 1 free admissions to a Blockchain University class. Third prize may go to a team who started their project at Blockchain University Cohort #4 or #5.
