Bluemix Republic Cebu (Launch)

In collaboration with the largest developers community in the Philippines, DevCon Philippines, IBM has organized Bluemix Republic Cebu, a one of a kind a chance for high school and college students to build an app for social good – an opportunity to be a superhero using their coding skills!

On August 9, 2016, we will be launching the hackathon at the Cebu Marriot Hotel, Rosal Meeting Room with Luis Pineda, President & Country General Manager, IBM Philippines as our keynote speaker. We would like to invite interested students and faculty to join us on the launch to learn more about this exciting activity, and most especially, over P60,000 worth of prizes at stake!

Bluemix Republic Cebu aims to gather 10 teams of 3 members each. Each participant will undergo a Bluemix workshop and mentorship together with IBM Cebu employees. Faculty members are also encouraged to join the workshop and coach their teams. Winners will be award in the pitching competition in September. (Note: Participants must be knowledgeable in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one (1) of the following: NODE.JS, PHP, JAVA.)
