Build for India is an initiative by Paytm to promote the development of products that create a tangible impact in the lives of millions of Indian citizens.
We intend to provide a platform to everyone who aspires to make a difference. If that sounds like you, here is your chance to raise your hand and create (or contribute to) something meaningful!
Build for India will be a 36-hours hackathon hosted at the Paytm Noida office, on 1st - 2nd October 2016.

What you need: Your ideas, your programming/design skills and, well, a laptop.
What we'll provide: Food and caffeine to keep you going, mentors to guide you, some technical assistance to point you in the right direction, like-minded hackers to bounce your ideas off and just an energetic environment to #keepbuilding.

Rules:
1. The solution will be judged on the basis of its potential impact on the everyday live of an average Indian user
2. We will also take into consideration the number of lives potentially impacted by the solution (scale)
3. The solution must leverage Paytm's payment services/APIs
4. Commercial viability of solution will be desirable but not mandatory
5. The technical chops demonstrated by the developer in building the solution will be taken into account
FAQs
Does the registration mean I can come for the hackathon?
Unfortunately, no. We would be reviewing your application and sending out confirmations.
What should I bring to the event?
You should bring everything that you will need to create your solution. Mostly, that will be a laptop and a charger. You might also want to bring a fresh set of clothes to change into the next day, along with your deo and face towel.
Please also carry a valid ID proof with you.
Can I stay overnight?
That will be an individual choice. We'll make arrangements for a few of us to snooze, or just relax. If you want to catch a proper sleep, you'll be advised to go home and come back early in the morning - just make sure you manage your time well.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. Just bring an ID to identify you.
