CHIMEHACK 4
CHIME FOR CHANGE, Global Citizen, Facebook and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers are teaming up again to host CHIMEHACK 4, a hackathon that brings together rising stars in the technology-sector to create tech-driven solutions that advance gender equality. In 2016 Facebook hosted CHIMEHACK 3 at their headquarters in Menlo Park, resulting in nearly 20 solutions, and $25,000 in cash prizes. Join us this year as we identify ways for disruptive technology to advance girls' education.
Winners will receive cash and in-kind prizes from our sponsors - to be announced in the coming weeks.

Day One
1:00pm – Participants check-in
2:00pm – Kick-off event with opening speakers
2:30pm – Panel of issue experts
3:00pm – Hackers find teams and begin hacking
Hackers hack through the night!
Note: Issue experts and mentors will be available all day to answer questions and provide guidance
Day Two
8:00am – Ongoing solution development, team collaboration and hacking
12:00pm – Hacking concludes and Judging begins
3:00pm – Judging deliberation and happy hour
4:00pm – Awards ceremony and closing speeches
5:00pm – Hackathon ends

Who should attend the event?
Engineers, designers, product managers and marketing experts of all levels are invited to apply.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Unfortunately, travel/ acommodations for participants is not provided.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Hackers must present their ticket from the CHIMEHACK team to gain entrance to the event. Due to overwhelming response, this event is not open to the public and is via application only. You will not be permitted to enter this event unless you have a ticket.
How many people can be on teams?
Teams can be a maximum of 5 team members. Teams must be present to pitch to our judges and receive their prize at the awards ceremony.
Do I need to bring my own laptop?
Participants must provide their own laptops, and mobile/tablet devices for use during the event.
What if I'm under 18?
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
