Closing the Food Loop: Open Source Circular Economy Days Toronto

Website: goal12.org/oscedaysto

Join us for a one-day ideas hackathon to work on innovative solutions for a circular food economy locally and globally! This event is part of the Open Source Circular Economy Days (OSCEdays) global community that uses open source resources to create a shift to a sustainable circular economy. We will be working on new ideas, testing prototypes, products, and designs using transparent, open source methods.

As a non-traditional hackathon, our ‘hacking’ possibilities are limitless; the solutions range from business concepts and policies to collaborative coding and technical solutions. Our call for challenges is now open and we welcome organizations or individuals to propose ideas or a particular food waste problem from a current project to work on at OSCEdays.

This event is hosted in partnership with the Food Systems Lab, a social innovation lab working on community-driven, systemic solutions to the food waste problem in the Greater Toronto Area.

Early-bird tickets (before May 15) are only $10! General tickets are $15. Tickets include lunch and snacks. Please bring your own mug, plate or container, and utensils to help us strive for a zero waste event.
