Code Lab Hackathon

Organized by

Code Lab is a Tech Ed program established under the umbrella of The Rusty and River Fields Foundation. Our goal is to teach 1,000 students in Bed-Stuy Coding and Robotics through Hackathons, in-school coding programs, weekend tech events, workshops, webinars, and more. Technology is the wave of the future but unfortunately African Americans and other marginalized youth are underrepresented in the tech field. Code Lab exists to help address this pressing issue. On June 9th, elementary students will come to Crispus Attucks Elementary School and learn about a frequently used programming language in developing websites (HTML), How to Hack the Web using an excinting tool called inspect element, and will then seperate into teams and collaboratively build a basic, one-page website which they will showcase to their peers and Code Lab staff.   FAQs   Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
