The coffein hackathon (or caffeine hackathon) is a one-of-a-kind hackathon, organized by a group and community of caffeine enthusiasts, namely the makers of Guaraná Brause, Meta Mate, and friends. In 2013, we organized the first coffein hackathon with talks by Jens Ohlig on Hackerbrause culture in the German Internet scene; by Fabricio do Canto on history and farming of Mate in South America; and by Gregor May who presented the Premium Kollektiv. In the food hacking session, Andy Weigt invented and cooked delicious treats with Mate, Guaraná, and other ingredients. In September 2015, we organized the second coffein hackathon at Meta Mate Bar in Berlin. During the last years, our community is continuously growing.
Let us once again, now for the third time, come together to talk and hack. We are currently assembling a program and need your input: please send us an e-mail team@guarana-brause.de if you have an idea or suggestion, if you would like to give a talk or contribute in any other way.
