Comic-Con Hackathon 2018

WHAT:  Comic-Con’s first-ever Hackathon!  WHEN: July 18-19th, 2018 DEADLINE TO APPLY: July 15, 2018 WHERE: Omni Hotel in Downtown San Diego – as part of FutureTechLive! @ Comic-Con WHY: Do you have an idea for an app that will disrupt the way we experience, consume or create entertainment content? Be part of history by partaking in the first Comic-Con Hackathon. This hackathon is designed to get you to think outside the box to innovate fan engagement and make the fan experience better! The FutureTechLive!@Comic-Con Hackathon brings together teams of passionate fans collaborating with coders, hackers, artists, designers and tech specialists to make entertaining fan engagement experiences for mobile devices using VR/AR/MR (XR), Ai, and Blockchain technologies. During this 1-day hack (and prep session the day before, where you also get a sneak peek and playtime with the coolest tech experiences at FutureTechLive!@Comic-Con), you will brainstorm and work to develop solutions to the identified problems and use XR, Ai and Blockchain move mobile fan experience forward. It's also your chance to create a valuable network of mentors and meet likeminded peers. The themes: VR/AR/MR (XR), Ai, Blockchain and Fan Engagement meets Mobile Fan Engagement and the Fan Experience! Goals: Working towards working demos/prototypes at the end of the 1-day hack, to bring these ideas beyond presentations.  We are inviting creative, technical and non-technical Comic-Con fans to learn XR and Blockchain tools and use these new skills to develop and create! Participants will divided into teams no larger than 4.
