Crowdsourced Cataloguing Hackathon #3: Libraries

Join us for the third of six Hackathons taking pace at The Courtauld Institute this summer. This series is your chance to help us develop ideas about crowdsourced cataloguing that will directly feed into digitisation projects taking place across the Institute over the next four years.

We will be experimenting with the key elements of cataloguing, breaking them down using practical activities, collecting your responses and then asking you, the public, how we can make our next phase of digitisation as inviting,  inclusive and creative as possible. We want your feedback, ideas, suggestions and concerns and we will give you £25 as a token gesture for your input.

These workshops are open to anyone  interested in crowdsourced cataloguing or digital archiving but spaces are strictly limited and we ask that you only attend one workshop per person so we can generate as much variety of feedback as possible.

Courtauld connects will see 1.1million images digitised and catalgued by volunteers from across London and the UK by 2021. If you would like more information about the Digitisation work going on at the Courtauld please take a look at our blog https://blog.courtauld.ac.uk/digitalmedia/ or contact Tom.bilson@courtauld.ac.uk
