Visualising solutions to real-world airport challenges
Join the Computer Science Society, MOBIA, and Halifax Stanfield International Airport Authority for a fun weekend of hacking and a chance to win fabulous prizes!
Data sets from the airport will be provided with possible use cases representing real-world problems faced by airport staff. Teams will then design solutions using the HTML5 Canvas element and Javascript to visualize data in useful and innovative ways.
The event kicks off with a tutorial on the HTML5 Canvas element and Javascript, and an introduction to the data sets and problems on Friday evening from 5 to 7 in room 127 of the Goldberg Computer Science Society. The hacking begins bright and early the next morning at 9am in the Slonim room, and continues until the next day.
Snacks, meals, and mentors provided!
Laptops/computers will not be provided. Participants are expected to bring their own.
