Dangerous Ideas in Disability 2019

Organized by Yellow Submarine Down Under

Innovative solutions that disrupt the disability landscape

‘Dangerous Ideas in Disability is a live art and ideas intervention in WA. Inspired by the paucity of imagination in the disability sector, it's a chance for leading thinkers with a disability to pose challenges, explode solutions and disrupt the disability landscape.

Dark and dangerous conversations and slam poetry about ‘reimagining’ are on the Dangerous Ideas menu this year.

There’s also an arts display by #actuallyautistic artists, compliments of the West Australian Autistic Adults Association.

Get proud with fellow rule-breakers, explorers and adventurers with a disability.

Join us for the Crip Hackathon, the Gammy Awards for Service Providers and the official launch of Trace, a new peer mentoring program based on parkour.

International Day of People with a Disability has long been the domain of service providers and non disabled people.

Get undepressed. Get proud. Get rafocal.  It’s our day, and it's time to take it back.’
