About

The Hackathon is the signature event for the UC Davis MSBA and takes place in the first week of April. It is a 24-hour long data and business analytics competition that gives students an opportunity to showcase their business sense and analytical skills. Every year, the program collaborates with industry case partners who provide data and also form a part of the final judging panel. The objective is to showcase the program’s talent and establish recruitment opportunities for students.

Teams of two to four students will work around the clock to deliver business solutions for a real-world problem. They will put their innovative thinking and collective blend of business and technical skills to work using problem structuring, statistical methods, machine learning, data visualization, etc.

Analytics professionals and recruiters from partners will serve as judges. Winners will be announced on April 8, followed by a networking mixer.

RSVP by April 1 to ensure your spot in the Hackathon.
