On 27-28 October 2016, Davivienda Bank will hold a hackathon event in Tel-Aviv, scouting for Israeli ideas. This is your opportunity develop ideas and get instant feedback from bank representatives, customize solutions to the bank’s needs, and possibly find yourselves with a major South American bank as a customer, design partner or even an investor. The best teams will win flights to Bogota and Bitcoin awards.

ABOUT THE HACKATHON

Hackathon Subject:

Tech-based Services for Colombians Abroad

Participant Objectives:

Develop products and services that will strengthen the connection between Davivienda and Colombians living and staying abroad, with an emphasis on migrant workers. The bank aims to invest in, partner with, or become a customer of any startup that would offer suitable solutions to their needs.

Ideas may include (but are not limited to):

1. Money wiring solutions

2. Community management solutions

3. Communication solutions

4. Online media and entertainment solutions

5. Insurance solutions

6. Travel

7. Financial services

PRIZES

The winning team will win an all expenses paid 3-day trip to Bogota for two people. 

The trip will include further meetings and introductions with key figures at Banco Davivienda and Grupo Bolivar.

Second and third places will win Bitcoin awards.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Davivienda is looking for solutions in all stages, meaning anything between a startup with a product to a group formed around an idea during the hackathon.

11:30am       - Work begins (Davivienda’s mentors and industry professionals guide participants)

9am              - Mentoring on pitches and storytelling

Winning teams work 1-on-1 with Davivienda for two full days to create a viable case for further business with the bank.
