EcoHack 2018

EcoHack will be a three-day collaborative event that aims to solve local environmental and sustainability challenges provided by community partners. EcoHack will act as a catalyst for local innovative ideas and entrepreneurship.
Participation in the hackathon is open to ALL University of Saskatchewan undergraduate and graduate students.
Event Timeline:
Friday: 5:30pm - 8:30pmCommunity partners will have two minutes to pitch an open-ended “challenge” to participants, who will then choose which challenge they want to work on for the next day. Food will be served.
Saturday: 8:00am - 8:00pm Participants will choose a challenge, work all day in teams to analyze their chosen issue, and come up with a novel, innovative solutions (or spectacular failures!). Solutions and presentations will be handed in on a flash drive by 8:00pm Saturday evening. Meals will be provided.NOTE: Solutions may be communications- based, software, mechanical, improved processes, marketing, an app, etc.
Sunday: 4:00pm - 7:30pm ***Doors open at 3:30***Groups will have a maximum of 5 minutes each to pitch their ideas a panel of judges and industry representatives. Food will be served.
Honours will be given, and the event will wrap up with a networking event for industry representatives, students, sponsors, community partners, and participants!
