Energy for Good - Hackathon to help build a sustainable world

EDF Energy, in partnership with the R&D team is holding a charity hackathon on the 23rd September as part of the Brighton Digital Festival. The hackathon will help support a number of local charities with their various digital challenges. Each sustainable charity will provide a business case for a problem they need to solve, whether it’s re-designing their website or smartphone application or building a proof of concept (POC) around the use of chat bots, augmented reality, and virtual reality or helping them with data needs.

The hackathon aims to bring together the vibrant tech community that’s based in Brighton and Hove. Teams will collaborate on the day working through the issues and coming up with solutions. The day will be focused on designing, developing, breaking the digital rulebook and helping us move towards a more sustainable world through helping charities accelerate into the world of digital.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers that love building crazy technology, we want future building developers, designers and data scientists to come and join our R&D team on the day to help make a difference.
