Finding a good problem to focus your research on or build a startup around is a challenge and can greatly influence your success and growth potential. What is a good problem and how to find one? How to make sure that it is a problem that you can tackle? They help them identify and prioritise real problems in need of solutions and design appropriate ways to incentivise innovation. The Team has designed over 30 challenge prizes and funding calls, including the £10M Longitude Prize for a diagnostic test to help reduce the misuse of antibiotics. Prior to joining Science Practice, Ana worked at Nesta where she researched emerging technologies and trends in social venture incubation.
