GCSE Computing Hackathon

This is a unique event for all teachers of GCSE Computing. It is an opportunity to work together to find solutions to difficult programming tasks.
PROGRAMME (STC)
The aim of the day is to boost teacher’s confidence in the delivery of GCSE programming tasks.
We have access to PC’s running Python 3.1, VB.Net and C#. Alternatively, there is a range of Raspberry Pi’s and guest Wi-Fi if you would prefer to BYOD.
For teachers new to GCSE Computing there will be support and parallel workshops, if required.
The cost for the day is £25 and includes lunch.

Daniel Toms
Dan Toms is the Lead Teacher of computing at Harrogate Grammar School and a CAS Master Teacher. He has taught A-level computing for over ten years and OCR GCSE since it was piloted. As a Master Teacher Dan has been mentoring school's introducing computing courses and running CPL across the region to improve pedagogy at all key stages.
All materials and resources used on this course will be made available to all delegates after the course.
