Building tech and tools for gender equality
Do you have a cool idea that could create positive change for gender equality? Are you a coder, activist, designer, product manager, data scientist, behavioral scientist, policy person, media maker, or simply someone who cares about gender equality? We have a hackathon for you!
We are delighted to invite you to join us on Saturday, September 22 from 1:00 - 5:00PM at Harry's HQ in New York City for the genEquality Hackathon Kick-Off!
This unique initiative is dedicated to inspiring and creating innovative technology and tools that advance gender equality. The Hackathon Kick-Off is the beginning of a 4-month long process where teams build and develop technology that advances gender equality. Participants will have a dedicated mentor, access to exclusive resources, and more.
The Hackathon concludes with a Showcase + Pitch Competition in January 2019, where teams will present their tech product to a panel of judges for the chance to win up to $10,000!
Join us for this exciting Kick-Off event, and you'll get to hear inspiring speakers including:
- Amy Vernetti, Google X
- Anthony Barrows, ideas42
- Jacqueline Banks, NYC Commission on Gender Equity
and more!
Whether you want to create a Hackathon team, join us as a mentor or expert advisor, or just want to come be with people who care about the same things you do, join us! You can learn more and register for Hackathon here: https://www.genequality.org/hackathon/
