Gibhack - The Challenge
Gibhack is a challenge where software developers, designers and entrepreneurs have 24 hours to create the best solution for problems experienced by the top level domain industry. These problems will be commercial in nature, and not security testing. Hackers from all over Europe will be coming to solve seriously unique problems and we're making sure you have a great time out here whilst you do. Teams will have the opportunity to present their ideas before our expert panel for £1,500 cash prizes.
This event is subject to to final confirmation.
The Weekend
Gibhack will kick off on Friday 15th July in a seriously unique location in Gibraltar. The hackathon will take place on a superyacht called 'the Sunborn' placed between casinos, a night club, yachts and an airport. Throughout the hackathon there will be a constant stream of beer, redbull, pizza, croissants and swag. There will also be an afterparty on Saturday night and for those of you who want to stick around on Sunday, we can show you around Gibraltar.
If you're thinking of not coming
Gibraltar is one of the most unique places you'll ever visit. A country just 3 square miles big sat between Spain and 9 miles from Africa, It will surely be one of the most unique places you will visit. The hackathon will also be one of the most unique experiences you will have, not just because of the unique problems you're solving. You will be taking part in the world's first hackathon on a superyacht where you can use a pool whilst you're coding and an afterparty on the Saturday night.
