Global Game Jam 2018, Ateneo de Naga Jam Site

The Global Game Jam® (GGJ) is the world's largest game jam event (game creation) taking place around the world at physical locations. Think of it as a hackathon focused on game development. It is the growth of an idea that in today’s heavily connected world, we could come together, be creative, share experiences and express ourselves in a multitude of ways using video games – it is very universal.

In the Bicol Region, Ateneo de Naga University, through the Information and Communications Technology Center (ICTC) will host a jam site for this event. The event will be open for students, professionals, and game enthusiasts.

This event will collect a Php 500 fee from each participant to cover the Event Shirt and Meals. As gratitude, we will be giving extra rewards through raffle prizes. A confirmation will be sent to your email for your options to reserve your seat in this event.

Notes:

• The minimum age that will be allowed to attend on this event is 13 years old (Grade 7). Parents permit will be required for Junior & Senior High School students. Accomplished the parents permit in your respective schools. For College, it will be in the discretion of the teachers from Higher Education Institutions to require parents permit by their institution in sending students as participants.
• Rules and Guidelines will be observed in the premises of the campus.
• List of things you can bring will be sent through email.
• The overnight stay on the jam site is meant for working for your game, thus, no sleeping quarters will be available. If you choose not to stay for overnight sessions, you need to leave the jam site by 10pm and must be at the venue by 6am the following day.
• You may choose to stay in your own accommodation (hotels, apartelle, hostel, etc.)  if you choose not to stay for overnight sessions.
• You have to complete the two-day event to receive your certificate of participation.
