govCMS Camp 30, 31 January 2017 – openly collaborating to improve govCMS
GovCMS Camp is an opportunity for people to get together to add new functionality to govCMS, to enhance the govCMS distribution, and to help prioritise the list of current issues. As part of the grassroots events, this camp is designed to get the community together to share expertise, collaborate across agencies, and to contribute back to the open source community.
What will you work on?
In the tradition of camps and ‘hackathons’ the community will decide what projects get worked on during the camp. Some suggested themes for this event include, but are not limited to:
- continuing the work assessing Drupal 8
- improving how document and media asset management works
- experimenting with more flexible workflows that also include different ways of managing users, groups and content permissions
- scoping and prioritising the govCMS issues backlog
What will you need to participate?
Bring yourselves, your laptops and other devices, we’ll provide the WiFi and the pizza. During the first part of the session, we’ll work through the ideas for the projects and break up into groups. We’ll spend the afternoon (and as much of the evening as you want) working on our projects. We’ll regroup the next morning for short presentations and demonstrations.
When:
Monday 30 January 10.00am - afternoon (and as much of the evening as you want).
Tuesday 31 January 10.00am - 2.00pm.
Who's invited:
UX specialists, designers, developers, web content publishers and editors, site owners…anyone
who wants to inform the development of govCMS in 2017!
