The Policy and Innovation Initiative is hosting the School of Public Policy at UofT’s first hackathon. The Hackathon aims to explore and pose solutions to some of the most difficult Public Health issues facing Ontario. The Hackathon will focus on three main issues: 1. Alleviating pressures in downtown hospitals, particularly with the expected growth downtown. 2. Rural Service Delivery and lastly, 3. Exploring the viability of alternative models for delivering medicine (such as LHINs or home care).

The Hackathon will comprise of graduate students of public policy, public health, urban planning, engineering, and computer science, as well as public servants and those interested in policy in general.

The Public Health Hackathon will be held on Saturday, March 4th at the Canadiana Gallery, at the University of Toronto (St. George Campus). Catered food and coffee will be provided!
