Hack For The Sea Honolulu
Organized by
The 3rd Annual Hack for the Sea is a marine hackathon where participants take on challenges in marine science, research, and industry.
Over the weekend of September 22-23 for 30 hours, hackers from all across Hawaii will have the chance to gather and build innovative web, mobile, and hardware applications: meet amazing people: and win prizes and awards.
Challenge statements will begin rolling in soon, and we will update ticket holders so you can start strategizing.
Rules of the hack:
1. To be judged, code must be open-source
2. No restriction on team size
3. Judges and mentors can't be on a team (they will help everyone)
4. Team members need not be at the hack, though someone will have to present IRL (We thought of you sister islands)
5. Pre-existing code is fine, but judges will favor fresh code.
6. Open source libraries are fair game
7. All work features in the demo must be completed by 12:00n on 9/23/18, debugging is okay
8. Teams can be disqualified at the organizer's discretion.
