Hack the Gap Demo Day 2017

Hack the Gap is Minnesota’s all-women hackathon! And this event will be bigger than ever before. We have over 100 women registered for the hackathon. On Sunday afternoon, the teams will showcase the projects they built from scratch over the weekend. 

The mission of this event is to unite women in the tech community, giving them a space to connect, innovate, and create together. We want to bring more than just awareness of the gender gap in technology. We want to do something about it. 

Here’s how it works. Participants form teams of 4-6 consisting of programmers, designers, testers, and idea people. Teams form on Saturday morning and will build a product idea from scratch using any technology. Teams consult with mentors throughout the weekend to ask questions and get feedback. Then on Sunday, the teams demo their product to a panel of judges from the community.
