Hack the Road

Develop prototypes for self-driving vehicles that can be integrated into the existing infrastructure 

Take part in the very first Hackathon at the race circuit of Zandvoort. Show us your hacking skills while being inspired by the sounds of squealing tires, seeing the sun going down behind the dunes and the groundbreaking infrastructure the circuit has to offer.

Our roads have been around for ages, so it’s finally time we upgrade and prepare the existing roads for self-driving vehicles. The province of North Holland is offering you the chance to hack the road and to be part of this exciting journey.

Show us your skills and knowledge at the 48-hour event “Hack the Road” at Circuit Zandvoort. We will challenge you to develop an innovative communication solution for these vehicles and the surrounded infrastructure. Gear up and show us how you hack the track!

How to register?

First, make sure that you know what your expertise is and register to the role. 

1) You can sign up with a team. Make sure that for every person you get a separate ticket!

2) You can sign up individually. But not to worry! During the first night of the hackathon, we will have a moment where you can pitch your ideas to all the participants. That way you can find ideas that you would like to work on or find people that might be interested in working on your idea. This moment is what we call team formation and will happen just after the opening of Hack the Road!
