Hackastron - Sky Mining 2018
The Hackastron is a free public hackathon taking place from 16-18 February 2018 at Curtin University.
At this event scientists, coders, technologists and enthusiasts from academia and industry are invited to come together to access astronomy data and work collaboratively with Australian-based astronomers.
Over 48 hours, participants will be able to gain access to expertise and the experiences of professionals who routinely use Big Data to tackle real life astronomy challenges. The proposed challenges range from optimising existing workflows, to trying out new projects and supporting current, ongoing research. They can be accessed here.
