CCMC is hosting a hackathon from 13th-17th July, where young people will collaborate intensively using ICT skills to develop tools or products that will be used by local organisations (NGO's, non-profit organisations, student organisations, social enterprises, etc.). During the Hackathon, young people will learn the process of planning the project and its different elements, look for data and information about the theme of the project and analyse it, find solutions and solve problems, cope with unexpected situations during the development of the project, learn how to communicate with the 'consumer' and understand their needs while putting them into practice.

The hackathon is part of the Erasmus+ project Generation 0101, a strategic partnership between six countries: Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania and Turkey. The main goals of the project are to (1) strengthen the position of partners on national and European levels and (2) develop skills of partners regarding fostering policy changes in the area of Digital Agenda, development of curriculums for skills needed in the digital industry and use digital tools for social inclusion in local communities.
