Hackaton LIFI _ how does internet via light work?
Wireless internet - through light? Yes you can - with LIFI. LIFI is a wireless data communication technology that uses Light Emitting Diodes (LED) for transmitting data through light.
The aim of this hackathon is to learn by working open source on this new technique with different disciplines.
Not familiar with LIFI, but are you interested in technology? Are you a hacker, programmer, maker, technician or an entrepreneur? You can participate in the hackathon. Brainstorm with
us!
Would you like to cooperate and test it at the modular LIFI bar? We will see you at #BlueCity010, during OSCEdays 2018.
Entrance is free when you register to claim your spot (see ticketlink).
With the word hackathon, the first thing you might think is hackers and computers. But a hackathon is more than that: "During a hackathon, people from different backgrounds work together to solve a problem in teams," says Emma van der Leest from
#BlueCityLab. "By putting all those different people together, a lot of results are often achieved in a short period of time. We are working on various research questions such as the influence of other light sources on the signal of the LiFi as well as 'Can I build this myself?' during the hackathon."
