Eligible Participants
- Students and/or professionals with a knack for software programming /engineering, and who are interested in technology and innovation
- Must be 18 years old and above
How to join?
- Create a team composed of three to four members, of which 2 to 3 are coders, and one designer or architect.
- Register your team here at Eventbrite from June 11 to June 30, 2018 and submit the following:
- Team Name and members
- Email the Curriculum Vitae of each member to HackaTren@lrmc.com.ph
- Contact details
- Print out the confirmation e-mail and present it as your registration at the Hackatren Pre-Hack event on June 30, 2018.
- All qualified groups are required to attend the Hackatren Pre-Hack event; otherwise, their registration will be deemed forfeited.
- LRMC will select 15 teams based on the information provided during registration. The chosen teams will be contacted thru call and/or email.
Rules
- Pre-coding after the pre-hack is allowed.
- Any programming language can be used including proprietary as long as it will be at the participating team’s own expense.
- Technologies or platforms may be created; Intelligent applications (Mobile, web, etc), Immersive Experience (Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality), Artificial Intelligence, IoT Projects and Hybrid.
- Teams are required to present working prototypes
- Submission – all projects must be submitted via GitHub
- Winning teams may be subject to a code-review.
- By joining the event, the participants are obliged to follow the house rules and to stay within the premises until the end of the event; otherwise, the team will be disqualified.
- All the codes/designs/content created during the Hackatren 2018 will be owned by the participants. If LRMC finds the technology applicable to LRT1, the management will contact the participants for a possible engagement.
- Employees of Light Rail Manila Corporation and DLS-CSB Hub for Innovation Inclusion up to third degree of consaguinity are restricted from joining the HackaTren.
