HackingAutism.Org 2016 Hack-A-Thon
Autism. 1 out of every 68 children in America are impacted across every race, ethnicity and socioeconomic group. If you aren’t directly affected, someone you know is. Today’s world doesn’t support those on the autism spectrum - it need “hacking” for us to truly welcome those who think and create differently than ourselves.
This event is where experts, individuals on the autism spectrum, their families and those who want to help come together in an open collaboration event where everyone participates in sharing ideas to hack solutions for those on the autism spectrum.
Agenda:
- Three tracks addressing therapy, employment and technology
- Pitch-It event where ideas/innovations are pitched to a team of judges
- Birds-of-a-feather lunch where you can meet with others interested in the same topic/interests
- Keynote talks from people who are making a difference

We’re Hacking Autism, a non-profit with a mission to fund, create and support opportunities that improve the personal and professional lives of people on the Autism Spectrum. We believe technology, therapy and employment play a key role in our mission, giving them the tools to show their unique talents and abilities in this fast paced world. We connect individuals with Autism to those with the skills and abilities to help them throughhack-a-thons, technology grants, job training and more.
