HackKing's 5.0

The UK's most anticipated student-run hackathon is back.

Get ready to once again dive into the fray, matching your creativity and skills against like-minded competitors in pursuit of prizes and glory. Alternatively, spend your time working on a project you are truly passionate about, learning and having fun with fellow hackers. Whatever your reason for attending might be, this is an event you can't afford to miss.

This hackathon is open to people of all skill levels. Even if you're just dipping your toes into the world of coding, there's no better place than HackKing's to turn what you know into a fully-fledged project. We'll have multiple challenges and tracks for people who work better with guidance, and separate prizes for each. 

If you don’t have a team, there will be a group-making session so you can create or join other hackers.

After an introduction, there'll be a solid 24+ hours of coding, with plenty of breaks for some frankly fabulous food. At the end you'll present what you've made, whether it's life-changing or plain ridiculous, in an attempt to impress our judges and grab yourselves some prizes! There will also be workshops, talks and games running in parallel to the coding, if you feel like you need a break.

This year's hackathon is themed : we won't give too much away, but let's say that glint you see in the distance may well be a dragon's hoard...
