Hip-Tech Conference & Hackathon

Hip-Tech Conference Making tech hip and highlighting companies making 'hip' tech... The Hip-Tech Conference is a conference aimed at building community interest and involvement in tech by making it 'hip', while also exposing the community to opportunities for upward mobility in the tech industry (regardless of level of experience). Coding / Intro to Tech Lab (FREE to attend) The Coding / Intro to Tech Lab will feature intro to coding and IT workshops and if attendees complete challeges, they will be able to earn 'All Access' tickets.  Hackathon (FREE to participate) The Hackathon will start at 8:00am on Friday, March 14th and teams will compete to make the best app by 2:00pm on Saturday, March 15th. Projects will be shown off at 6:00pm in the Showcase Room and winners will be announced and awarded a prize, a trophy and bragging rights.  Demo Booths & Vendors There will be demo booths where tech/gaming companies show off their products and  Film Festival / Music Video Showcase  Every few hours, there will be a screening of the submitted and approved films/music videos and there will be a scheduled Q&A wilth artists and filmakers on the 15th. Founder Pitch Competition Founders will pitch in order to win a pool of funding for their respective ventures, while also giving the event attendees a glimpse into the world of startups, fundraising and venture capital.  Musical Performances TBA There will be 5 rooms of talks, entertainment and activities including live performances by some incredibly talented musical artists (Names TBA).
