How to "Capture the Flag" - A CMD+CTRL Web Application Hackathon for Women

WISP Logo - Clear

Do you have what it takes to hack into a bank? Always wanted to become a white hat hacker?

Women in Security and Privacy (WISP) is proud to partner with Security Innovation, to offer to our members a fun "find the vulnerabilities" game that teaches the importance of secure coding. This CMD+CTRL Web Application Hackathon is a unique way to learn the importance of secure coding best practices. It features three authentic and intentionally vulnerable websites.

We'll work in teams to find vulnerabilities. Challenges range from common vulnerabilities like SQL injection to more difficult challenges like cipher cracking puzzles. In this simulation, you will be encouraged to:

  • Break into someone else's account

  • Transfer or steal money

  • Add items to your shopping cart and buy them at zero cost

  • Uncover secret information like your boss's salary

As you uncover vulnerabilities, you can check your scores on the leaderboard to see real-time scores. This will be a fun, hands-on hackathon, with experts on staff to guide you through the process.

We only have 100 tickets, so buy yours now!
