IETF Software Updates for Internet of Things (SUIT) Hackathon
This event is organized in relationship to the standardization efforts at the IETF Software Updates for Internet of Things (suit) working.
Everyone who is interested in hands-on work on the IoT firmware update specifications (and particularly on the manifest specification - https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-moran-suit-manifest, is welcome. We are also encouraging work on supporting technologies, such as the CBOR Object Signing and Encryption (cose) security wrapper. COSE is used as a building block in the IETF SUIT working group.
From our first Hackathon at the IETF #101 meeting in London in March this year a few results are already available, such as:
- An initial version of an open source COSE library: https://github.com/bergzand/libcose
- A Python-based manifest generation tool: https://github.com/ARMmbed/suit-manifest-generator/
- A short description of the work done at the London Hackathon: https://gist.github.com/jaimejim/3aa9c6e85e82a353c9fa90794c856d89
Feel free to drop the organizers, Emmanuel Baccelli and Hannes Tschofenig, an email in case you have questions.
