Imagineering Hackathon @ CHS
HTML Hackathon for Middle School & High School SRVUSD Students:
We are proud to offer our first every Imagineering Hackathon. This event is student led with the support of our SRVEF Team and wonderful community sponsors. Our goal is to provide a platform for students to gain the technical expertise needed to thrive in the highly competitive global environment. Getting comfortable with coding and ability to work in functional teams are two major skills we intend to promote along with rewarding product development skills and creativity.
Students will be organized into groups based on their coding ability and given a challenge that requires students to work in HTML. Projects will be judged and prizes will be given to winning Hacks! Not sure your HTML skills are good enough? Don't worry, our community sponsors are recruiting mentors to work with students who may need a little extra guidance. Sponsors will also provide lunch, so students can collaborate all day long!
For students who would like to brush up on their HTML before the event, we recommend code.org or codecademy.com.
This event was organized by one our amazing Imagineering High School Mentors. Shirin Afrakhteh is a junior at California High School and an Imagineering Leader! She has attended and won serveral hackathons in the SF Bay Area. Now she is bringing her love of Computer Science to the students of SRVUSD.
