Improving the Lives of Australians with Transactional Data - Sydney

Join us in Sydney and Melbourne for the first cross industry payments hackathon in Australia. This event page allows you is to sign up for our Sydney venue, click here to join us in Melbourne.

We're looking for ways to improve the lives of Australians with transactional data. The winning team in each city will receive $5,000 and there are a range of other prizes to reward creative ideas!

The challenges look at how transactional and other data be used to to improve the life of Australians, either:

  • In my daily life - In the words of the Australian Productivity Commission "Data is a new resource for our economy and society". Show us how sharing transactional data can improve daily life.

  • In unforeseen circumstances - Daily life is great until something goes wrong. Show us how sharing transactional data can help when the unexpected happens.

We'll be giving you access to a sandbox of Open Bank Project APIs, to simulate access to transactional data, banking services and other sets of data.

If you don't win don't worry there are a range of other prizes, along with talks and workshops so everyone in attendance should get something of value out of the event!
