KASI CREATE-A-THON

WHAT IS IT?

TUT SOSHANGUVE Campus' first Annual Agile Hackathon organized by students community and academic staff in collaboration with the agile community in the industry.

WHY ARE WE DOING IT?

To close the agile system devlopment knowledge gap between the industry and university students.                   
The KASI CREATE-A-THON will use a hackathon format, underpinned by Agile practices, to deliver fresh ideas  and solutions to the surrounding community.

Objectives

• To create a knowledege sharing plartform for the latest agile and software development trends
• To nurture a playground away from work routine
• to grow the agile community in SA,through training and mentorship
• To disrupt the university September/October recess with a fun, focused learning platform

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Students will register cress-functional teams, of four to seven team members.
The number of teams is limited to 10.
The KASI CREATE-A-THON will kick start with aday of workshops hosted by local and international Agile volunteers. Thereafter the students will start to work on their ideas! An industry mentor will collaborate with each team to guide the devlopment for 2 days. On Saturday afternoon, each team will have the opportunity to showcase their ideas.
