Help Lowe's Build the Future of Home Improvement. Team Prizes Total $22,000.
Who
Students and developers — Lowe's is looking for mobile developers to help build the next generation of home improvement apps. Whether you're in the middle of pursuing a degree or a seasoned pro, register for this challenge.
What
Lowe's presents its business problems and APIs; participants create mobile solutions during a weekend of coding. Lowe's is exploring how it could build working relationships with the smartest minds in Texas. Join the Lowe’s Digital team during the event weekend to answer your questions about Lowe’s and its APIs. Lowe's is bringing several of its key architects, developers, business analysts, and digital strategists to interact with participants throughout the weekend. They’ll be there to answer your questions and discuss the Challenge.
How
Register as an individual and form teams at the event. You are welcome to bring friends and colleagues (everyone must register and be eligible to participate) and form teams of up to five people. Registration begins on Dec. 15 at 11:00am CST and closes Jan. 22 at 7:00pm CST but may close early if capacity is reached. All code must be written during the weekend of Jan. 22-24 at Capital Factory and submitted for the challenge (please see the recently updated Rules and Participant Agreement for more details on IP and ownership). Your entry is due by noon Sunday, Jan. 24, followed by a round of live demos for judging by Lowe's senior executives.
Why
Beyond the prizes, showcase your work to Lowe's senior executives and network with them. Learn about the Lowe’s IT department and its cutting-edge projects as it supports the company’s development as an omni-channel retailer. Get a look at what makes a FORTUNE® 50 home improvement company tick.
