Ministry of Data is just for you. Ministry of Data’s first hackathon aims to solve pre-validated problems from two leading Government agencies, Main Roads WA and Water Corporation WA. These problems are not isolated. They are faced by governments and enterprises globally! For information on the problems being presented please visit www.ministryofdata.org.au. These problems, if solved, have applications for autonomous vehicles, CCTV, traffic management, remote workers and many more. // ABOUT THE HACKATHON // A full weekend of creating some of the coolest technology where you will meet like minded people wanting to solve great problems. Not technology minded? that’s OK, we often find that the best ideas come from those who can look through a different lens. You have just as much to offer. Not part of a team? That fine....lots of people join hackathons ever year not starting off in a team. On the Friday night, we will help you find a team and meet some really interesting people. // WHAT IS MINISTRY OF DATA (MoD) // Ministry of Data is an annual volunteer run hackathon that connects Government agencies with the innovator community and hosts hackathons to solve the most curious technological problems faced by Government agencies. Open to developers, start-ups, entrepreneurs, data aficionados, business analytics, and innovators for a better world, a MoD Hackathon is an opportunity to solve a real validated problem and deliver a product that has great market product fit. Government agencies face problems that can be innovatively solved with the aid of technology. Helping Innovators conceive the tools and solutions for the advancement of public service and society. Ministry of Data will provide: 1.     Qualified Government agency problems to the innovator and start-up community that have global potential if solved. 2.     Direct access into Government agencies so conceived solutions have an internal rainmaker and potential seed funding to move solutions forward. 3.     Access to pathways to accelerate solution commercialisation through some of Perth’s finest accelerator programs. 4.     The bridge to government for existing great initiatives and start-ups!
