MobilityX Hackathon presented by car2go

Calling all hackers!

Join MobilityX in conjunction with car2go to solve real time problems by re-envisioning car accessibility in Austin. In this weekend long hackathon we're looking for innovative solutions to help us improve the availability of car service throughout the city.

What inspires you?

Choose Your Track:

 How do we efficiently get vehicles to members that need them?

• Moving vehicles to members that need them naturally, i.e. without operational intervention.
• Allowing a member that is actively driving a vehicle but looking for parking to switch with a member who needs a vehicle. 

How do we ensure that our vehicles maintain data connectivity?

• Internally maintaining real-time awareness of network connectivity status throughout our operating area.
• Improve data connection reliability, with or without network providers.

Who Can Join?

Startups: Early-stage startups, interested in one of the themes above

Individuals: Do you have a great idea linked to mobility, IoT, or Big Data? Are you strong developer? An Innovative designer?

Teams: Join others around a project you want to develop.

First Place Prize: $10,000.00

Second Place Prize: $5,000.00

Third Place Prize: $2,500.00

6:00PM Kick off the hackathon by joining Capital Factory at our First Floor Grand Opening ribbon cutting Party!

7PM Grab a drink and join participants in the newly opened MobilityX space. Meet fellow competitors, review the tracks, and start getting inspired.

7:15PM - 8:30PM Free mingling, Team pitches, and Happy Hour

11AM-1PM Mentor Sessions - Office Hour Style

Places are limited and subject to eligibility. By registering for the event you agree to the Official Rules.
