oneTRANSPORT: Open Transport Data for the Developer Community
Event Structure
The evening will begin with a short introduction to the oneTRANSPORT project, a UK initiaitve, which is offering access to previously locked data from local authorities and with the aim to create an open marketplace for transport data. The evening will then share key aspects for the developer community to get involved and create web/mobile solutions.
What will you see?
- Presentations on the oneM2M standards and the technology behind the platform
- A presentation of the data currently available through the platform and the datasets expected to become available
- Showcase demonstration applications developed adn dashboard solutions that have been produced.
- Evidence of deployment at Silverstone race track and proposed other case studies
- Hackathon roadmap, and the significant role played by developers within the project.
Reasons for project involvement
There is a wealth of unexploited transportation data from multiple local authorities and this is the first time it is available to the public!
- Early engagement with a real world IoT deployment using open standards, which has the potential for national/ international expansion
- Working alongside local authorities who want to hear your innovate solutions
- Develop prototype for a community, but quickly expand it to multiple locations
Registration Details
The evening will be hosted at the Google Campus in Shoreditch, with a maximum of 80 people able to attend the event. Please ensure that all members of your party wanting to attend this event have purchased a ticket. Some food and refreshments will be provided for attendees.
