48 hour hackathon to create innovative Banking Services on the Railsbank Open Banking API
If you’re keen to be creative and push the boundaries of what can be built using Open Banking APIs, want to build the next generation of innovative banking and compliance services and win cash prizes, then #OpenBankHack17 is for you.
Railsbank is an open banking API and platform that gives regulated and un-regulated companies access to global transaction banking with 5 lines of code.
Through our API, customers can access a complete range of wholesale transaction banking services using our «Product Rails»: digital ledgers (mapped to real bank accounts); issue unique IBANs for end users; receive money; send money; convert money (FX); collect money (direct debit, card acquiring); issue/manage cards; access blockchain; manage credit (lending).
Just register at Railsbank.com and you will have instant access to the API sandbox. Extra APIs will also be made available for the hackathon.
The event will be a 48 hour FinTech hackathon where attendees will form teams and collaborate with mentors (several finTech legends will be attending and mentoring) to create amazing solutions to challenges based around
-
The Secure Trading challenge;
-
Taking compliance manuals from the world of paper into the world of digital; and

Building a challenger bank in a weekend!
At the end of the hack there will be cash prizes for the best technical and business solutions.
