OSCE Days 2016 - CIRCULAR TOWN – Circular Mapping at Reading Green Fest

Fancy a day out of London and see, share and learn what other green and circular related initiatives are going on? Then take part in a trip to Reading as part of the London group, where you’ll be able to see and take part in Reading Green Fest! 

There will also be the annual Water Fest along the river Kennet and even perhaps visit Grow @ Green Park to check out the Design Disrupt Do maker event. Also find out about some circular related projects linked to Reading R-Lab.

Participants will have a chance to explore the city and engage in mapping the local activities and place – putting circular initiatives on the map (literally). We’ll be looking to create an open map of the towns circular related activities and connections that will be of use and can be built upon. Alongside this there will be time to visit RISC – Global Cafe

Travel & Timing

Make your way to Reading Station (e.g. from Paddington direct train, 11am 25 mins) - will be met by OSCEdays representative. We'll look to subsidse train costs (approx 18,00 - funding allowing), but with a network railcard a return is only around 12.

Particpants can choose to join the engagement mapping activity or are free to explore independently or in groups

What is OSCE Days?

Open Source Circular Economy Days (OSCEdays) is a global hackathon style event and community to create open resources and possibilities for a global shift towards a waste-free, sustainable and environmentally friendly Circular Economy.

We will be one of 70+ cities across the globe running events between June 9th-13th, connecting different cultures and communities.

People from Industry, Grassroots, Maker & Hacker movements, students, etc. will work together on all kinds of challenges discussing, developing and experimenting with the Open Source Circular Economy.
