Hosted by PolicyPal Network and with Fetch Technology, Talo and Coderschool as the co-organisers, this hackathon event aims to innovate, experiment and surf the waves of new blockchain technologies applied to insurance, while also encourage the creation of new ideas - in line with the revolutionary vision and project of PolicyPal Network.

Building Decentralised Insurance Platform Hackathon will be held on 26th and 27th May 2018, and each team will have 24 hours to deliver proof-of-concept of their ideas based on one of the three categories:

Insuring Cryptocurrencies,
-
P2P Insurance and
-
Open Category.
Everyone interested in blockchain project is welcomed. The event will be fully conducted in English.

Dates:
26th May 2018 (Saturday) 8:30 AM - 10 PM
27th May 2018 (Sunday) 9 AM - 6 PM
Participation Format:
- Participants can register and form their team on Day 1 - 25th May 2018, before team registration closes at 1.30pm.
- Form a team of 3–4 members and join 1 of the above 3 categories. Each team must have at least a developer who knows how blockchain and smart contracts work, and has basic knowledge of solidity.
- Based on the chosen category, each team will have to create and develop its concept, and present it as a prototype product.
Participation Fee:
US$9 per person — covering:
- All meals,
- A free PolicyPal Network T-shirt,
- 100 PAL tokens, and
- A free complimentary ticket to Huobi's Blockchain Festival Vietnam Conference and Exhibition for both event days (24-25 May) worth 1,600,000 VND for each Hackathon participant
Prizes:
The top winners of the categories will share a pool of US$3,000 worth of PAL tokens. (1 winner per category)
The top winners will pitch live on Twitter. PolicyPal Network’s community and event participants can vote for the grand winner.
Grand winner also gets US$3,000 cash!
