Pop-Up Class: What the Hack is a Hackathon?!
Did you know that Groupme was created as a result from a Hackathon? Hackathons are widely misunderstood as being only coding. In fact, they mostly focus on creative problem-solving, which doesn't have to involve technology. It’s an event where people come together to solve problems. JMU hosts their annual Hackathon in the spring. If you are looking to learn more about the process of being in a Hackathon, benefits that come from it, or learning tips for taking home the cash prize at the next one - Join us for 2 hours of tips and training! It’s open to all majors interested in professional networking, making friends, or innovating the next big idea! Questions? Email jmuxlabs@jmu.edu.
