The Hackathon is a fun way for teens to be social while problem solving issues that are important to them. Issues such as:
• Want a faster way to get home to avoid walk long distances – they can find a solution
• Want an easier way to do chores for more spare time – Yep they can think of a winning idea or tool
• Want an easier way to write out lines at school – they can create a versatile tool that gets it done faster, then sell it to other kids!
• Sick of being bored on school holidays? They can come up with programs that will interest them
They just need a reason to change something and the want to make it happen with the support and help of their peers and mentors.
