Product Hunt Toronto - Hackathon
Organized by
Hello, friends and fellow product people!
Product Hunt is mobilizing cities around the world to get together and build products on February 26th - 28th. As the first and one of the largest Product Hunt community-run events in the world, Product Hunt Toronto is thrilled to be a part of this and host an epic hackathon in our city.
1,600+ of you have attended our wildly popular meetups and we're excited to get together in a different format. This time we'll be building great products together and putting Toronto on the map in a big way.
Theme for the inaugural hackathon : Build things you want to see in the world. Yes, that's right. Build something you wish existed. The winners of the hackathon will receive a demo spot at the next Product Hunt Toronto event to showcase their product.
We can't wait to see what you come up with! Below you can find more information about logistics for the hackathon weekend. Only 50 spots are available! See you there!

FAQs
What should I build? Anything you would like. Do you wake up wishing a certain product or service existed? That's a good indicator you should explore it.
Who is this event for? Developers, designers and product managers of Toronto/GTA who are interested in expanding their product development skills and turning their idea into a working prototype over the course of a weekend. Don't have a product idea? No problem. You can join a team that has an idea, or work with the mentors to brainstorm ideas.
Can I continue building something I started in the past? No. We want all teams to start on a level playing field. Use this as an opportunity to work on something new.
Why is there a cost to attend? What are ticket sales used for?
We are a community-run Product Hunt event in Toronto and want to create a great hackathon experience for you, dear hackers. Ticket sales go towards event expenses such as providing food and drinks for you. We want to make our event accessible, so if you are unable to purchase a ticket, please send us a note (info@producthunttoronto.com) and we'll try our best to accommodate you.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
You can transfer your ticket to a friend as long as they need the same ticket type as was purchased by you (e.g. Designer, Developer, Product Manager)
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope!
What is the refund policy?
We offer refunds up until February 24, 2016 in order to be able to accommodate others. Our events sell out and we usually have a waitlist in place.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
We will do our best to accommodate you - please email us at info@producthunttoronto.com upon purchasing your ticket. Thanks!
