Ready, Set, Design - Design Thinking Kickoff Sessions
THIS EVENT IS A TWO-PART SERIES, WEDNESDAY, AND SATURDAY. TICKETS COVER BOTH DAYS.
DESIGN THINKING FOR SOCIAL IMPACT
Though it might seem like a relatively new concept and buzzword, Design Thinking has been around for quite some time. It's now the moment to see how it can be used to generate solutions and prototypes addressing the world's biggest challenges.
This two-part workshop done in collaboration with IBM Design is in preparation of the Global Goals Jam Austin, which will take place on 21-22 September. The Global Goals Jam is a hackathon-type event that will take place simultaneously in more than 60 cities across the world. This year, the Global Goals Jam will focus on generations solutions for 5 of the 17 Global Goals:
Goal 1: No Poverty
Goal 2: Good Health and Well-Being
Goal 5: Gender Equality
Goal 7: Clean and Affordable Energy
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
You could use this workshop to think deeper about what these 5 goals mean for our community and what solutions could be further developed. Our call for ideas for the Global Goals Jam is open until August 27. To submit an idea, see the detail on our briefing Call for ideas – Global Goals Jam 2018, Austin TX
